Preschool participated in the Jr. Snow Ranger program, utilizing snowshoes provided by the Clear Creek Ranger District. This program introduces children of all ages to winter ecology while they snowshoe through the forest. We discovered tracks from many of our local wildlife along our King-Murphy Mountain Schools' Trail of Wonder. The preschoolers in Ms. Pippi and Mrs. Arlene’s class declared it was the best day ever!

King-Murphy Kindergarten - 2nd grade enjoyed grade-appropriate experiences at the CSU Spur Center. Highlights of the day included watching live pet surgeries (a dog's tail appendectomy and several feline dental surgeries) and the opportunity to role-play as veterinarians in the kids' mock exam clinic.

CCHS had a fantastic Career Fair for the high school students, allowing them to explore both summer job opportunities and long-term career options. Thanks to all of the local businesses, organizations and governmental agencies that participated.

This year's spring musical is The Wizard of Oz! Performances are Thursday April 11, Friday April 12, and Saturday April 13.  All showings begin at 7pm in the CCHS/MS theatre. All CCSD staff and students are free. All other tickets are $10.  Reserve tickets by clicking here.

Thank you Henderson Mine, in partnership with Freeport FCX Foundation and the CCS Foundation for funding math at Carlson and King-Murphy, the “Elementary Mathematics Manipulatives” help students increase understanding of visual concepts in math.
